Create Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Film Development Council and the Hong Kong Movie Production Executives Association will jointly organise a series of talks on film production and pitching to help nurture the next generation of film talents.
The "Idea•Action•Your Next" seminar series will be held on July 27 and 28. Topics to be covered include the basics of film budgeting, distribution, marketing and censorship as well as skills in pitching film projects to prospective investors. The event will provide insights for those aspiring to a career in film on the various aspects of film production.
Experienced practitioners of the local film industry have been invited to speak and exchange views with participants.
The talks will be conducted in Cantonese with free admission. More details are available on the event website at www.idea-action-yournext.com. Those interested should register on the website in advance.
"Idea•Action•Your Next" was first held in March this year. The first series of forums and workshops were well received and attracted about 470 participants. The seminar series in late July aims to sustain the efforts to nurture film talents.
