A major fashion exhibition entitled Fashion Visionaries – Hong Kong will be staged from October 7 to 28 by the Hong Kong Fashion Designers Association in Shanghai Xintiandi Style. Carrying three themes - Fashion Visionaries, Fashion Creations and Fashion in Movies and Entertainment, the exhibition will showcase the spectacular development of Hong Kong’s fashion industry from 1960s to present. The event is one of the HKSAR attractions at Expo 2010 Shanghai China.
Over 80 renowned industry practitioners, including fashion designers, photographers, models; and film art directors and illustrators will display their creative designs or join the shows.
The Permanent Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development (Communications and Technology), Miss Elizabeth Tse, kicked off the exhibition at an opening ceremony today (October 6). She said the exhibition tied in with the theme of Hong Kong Pavilion, "Hong Kong – Potential Unlimited", and fully showcased Hong Kong’s creativity, allowing visitors to feel the excitements of our fashion industry development and the city’s extraordinary vibrancy.
