The Permanent Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development (Communications and Technology), Miss Elizabeth Tse, led a delegation to Beijing this morning (May 25) for a three-day visit to learn more about the latest developments on the Mainland in such areas as information and communications technology, innovation and technology, creative industries, film and broadcasting.
In Beijing, the delegation will make courtesy calls on the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the State Council, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Science and Technology, and the State Administration of Radio Film and Television. The delegation will also visit the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the State Key Laboratory.
The delegation will visit the Beijing Cultural and Creative Industry Promotion Centre and the Beijing 798 Arts Zone to learn about their work in promoting creative industries.
The Director-General of Telecommunications, Miss Eliza Lee; the Director of Broadcasting, Mr Franklin Wong; the Commissioner for Television and Entertainment Licensing, Mr Vincent Liu; and officials from the Innovation and Technology Commission, Office of the Telecommunications Authority, Office of the Government Chief Information Officer, Create Hong Kong and Radio Television Hong Kong will also join different parts of the visit.
The delegation will return to Hong Kong on Thursday (May 27).
