A Creative Hong Kong pavilion to showcase the achievements of Hong Kong's cultural and creative industries will be set up at the 4th China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industries Fair (ICIF) to be held in Shenzhen from May 16-19.
The Financial Secretary, Mr John C Tsang, and the Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Mr Frederick Ma, will officiate at the opening ceremony of the pavilion at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Centre on the morning of May 16 and launch a series of events organised for the exhibition's Hong Kong Day.
Before the opening ceremony of the Creative Hong Kong Pavilion, Mr Tsang will deliver a speech at a high-level forum organised by ICIF under the theme "Developing cultural industries in China: opportunities and challenges"
Mr Ma will address a forum on "Creative business opportunities: the Formula of Success" organised for the Hong Kong Day on the afternoon of May 16.
With an interactive and multimedia display, the Creative Hong Kong pavilion (Booth No. T052 in Hall 1) will exhibit the outstanding works of Hong Kong's creative industries to give recognition to their originality and excellence under five theme zones.
The Creative Hong Kong pavilion is jointly organised by the Commerce and Economic Development Bureau, Home Affairs Bureau, Hong Kong Trade Development Council and Hong Kong Arts Development Council.
