The Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Mr Frederick Ma, will leave Hong Kong tomorrow (November 14) for a visit to Beijing and Shanghai to attend a series of meetings and activities relating to tourism, commerce and creative industry.
In Beijing, Mr Ma will lead a delegation comprising representatives from the Tourism Commission, the Hong Kong Tourism Board and the Travel Industry Council to an annual meeting with the chairman and officials of the China National Tourism Administration. They will discuss the tourism industry in Hong Kong and the Mainland. He will also call on leaders of the Ministry of Commerce.
Mr Ma will arrive in Shanghai on November 15 afternoon to join a Hong Kong delegation comprising representatives from various creative industry sectors. They will participate in a series of activities at the 2007 Shanghai International Creative Industry Week to showcase the developments and achievements of Hong Kong's creative industries.
